News Title:Harbor View Golf Complex: Is a New Residential Community Teeing Off Soon in Little River?
The Harbor View Golf Complex, with an award-winning driving range, 18 hole Par 3, and 36 holes of unique putt/putt has been a staple in the Myrtle Beach/Little River area for 30 years.
In late 2024, efforts were made by Lennar and others to rezone the approximate 40-acre parcel of land at Highway 17 and Horseshoe Road from CFA to Single-Family SF6. The proposal included a plan to develop 115 single family homes. This rezoning request was never approved by Horry County City Council.
In January of 2026, the owners of this property, Harbour View LLC, entered into an agreement with the Horry County School (HCS) District to sell the property. As of February 2026, HCS is well underway with the due diligence and no significant issues of been reported that would seem to adversely impact this sale.
As the due diligence remains on track without issues, the sale of this property is expected to be completed in the next few weeks.
As of February 2026, HCS has not yet announced specific plans for this property, but it is likely that the site, with the rapid North Strand population growth, will be used to develop a new school, educational, or operational facilities to support the district wide needs of HCS.
