1. Great Southern Homes
Great Southern Homes is building townhomes in the new community of Half Moon Bay. There will be 80 townhomes constructed on an approximate 26.87 acre piece of land in the new townhome community of Half Moon Bay. The townhomes by Great Southern Homes at Half Moon Bay will have approximately 1,849 to 1,883 square feet of living space. These modern coastal-inspired townhomes will have thoughtfully designed two-story floorplans with the option for a first-floor owner’s suite, spacious two-car garages (rare for a townhome), private patios, and today’s most stylish finishes throughout. Some of the homesites at Half Moon Bay are tucked within low-traffic cul-de-sacs, while others back up to wooded areas. Great Southern Homes has not yet announced timing or pricing for the new townhomes at Half Moon Bay. Expectations are for the townhomes in Half Moon Bay to start presales in June of 2025.

2. Lennar
57th Place is a new home community in Longs that initially began development back in 2005. Horry County has approved development for 316 single family homes and 80 multi-family homes. Thus far, 236 single family homes have been platted and developed in the new home community of 57th Place. None of the multi-family units have been developed. The initial set of homes in 57th Place that were developed involved several builders including Denmark Homes and D. R. Horton. Development of the initial set of homes in 57th Place was completed back in 2023. In 2022, Lennar purchased the 33.42 acre piece of land directly adjacent to the initial completed section of homes in 57th Place on the south side running along Wampee Road (Highway 57) whereby an additional 80 single family homes and 80 multi-family homes could be developed as they have been approved for development. In August 2024, Lennar transferred this land to a newly formed LLC - specifically their affiliate Millrose Properties South Carolina. This would suggest that Lennar is moving forward with the development of this next phase of homes in the adjacent 57th Place land. Lennar has not yet announced specific plans or timing for this additional development of their portion of this parcel adjacent to 57th Place.
3. Beverly Homes
Bevely Homes purchased this 14.08 acre piece of land back in July of 2024. This parcel is across Highway 57 from the 57th Place subdivision and adjacent to the completed subdivision of Palm Lakes Plantation. Beverly Homes has not yet announced plans for this parcel.
