News Title:Get ready for Buck Creek Cove—an exciting new home community coming soon along Highway 9 in Longs, SC, where modern living meets coastal charm!
The new home community of Buck Creek Cove is conveniently located directly off of Highway 9 across from the Long Bay Golf Club. Long Bay Golf Club is one of two Myrtle Beach area courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, and the 18-time major champion’s original plans for the layout continue to resonate more than 30 years after its opening. Nicklaus and his design team delivered a layout that is defined visually by waste bunkers and mounding, allowing players to be creative in how they attack and even recover on a course that continues to delight locals and traveling golfers. Speaking to the quality of the design, three back nine holes at Long Bay - 10, 13 and 18 - have been ranked among the top 100 along the Myrtle Beach golf scene, and each challenges players in a different way.
Horry County has provided approval for the development of 74 multi-family homes in the new home community of Buck Creek Cove. All of these lots have now been platted.
GSH Land Fund LLC ,the land-holding and financing arm for Great Southern Homes, was responsible for acquiring, developing, and holding residential lots. The GSH Land Fund LLC has now transferred those finished lots to Great Southern Homes Inc. as they are ready for construction, allowing the builder to stay focused on building and selling homes while keeping land costs and risk separate.
This transfer from GSH Land Fund LLC to Great Southern Homes occurred in March of 2026 for Buck Creek Cove.
Great Southern Homes has not yet announced timing or pricing for the new home community of Buck Creek Cove in Longs, SC.
