News Title:New Lennar community Belle Creek planned for the growing Longs/Little River corridor
Belle Creek is a new home community coming soon to the Longs/Little River area of South Carolina. Located just off Highway 57 near the Highway 9 and Highway 31 interchange, the new home community of Belle Creek offers convenient access throughout the North Strand. In this area, Highway 57 serves as the unofficial dividing line between Little River and Longs, with Belle Creek located on the Longs side of the corridor just north of the highway and the Little River area extending south toward the coast.
Positioned adjacent to the established community of 57th Place, the new home community of Belle Creek offers an ideal blend of coastal convenience and small-town living. Residents of Belle Creek will enjoy peaceful surroundings while remaining just minutes from Cherry Grove Beach, the waterfront attractions of Little River, championship golf courses, shopping, and the dining destinations that have made the North Strand one of the Grand Strand’s most desirable areas.
Horry County has approved Belle Creek for 67 single-family homes on approximately 33.7 acres, creating an intimate new home community surrounded by established neighborhoods and ongoing residential growth.
Lennar will serve as the builder for Belle Creek. The property is currently owned by Millrose Properties, Lennar’s land acquisition and development entity. In December 2024, Lennar announced the creation of Millrose Properties, a publicly traded real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on acquiring and developing residential land. The formation of Millrose allows Lennar to focus on home design and construction while Millrose provides finished homesites for Lennar and potentially other builders.
The Longs/Little River area surrounding Belle Creek has become one of the most active areas for new home development along the northern Grand Strand. Nearby communities include the established Palm Lakes Plantation, the recently completed 92-home Tallwood Lakes by D.R. Horton, and Sunset Landing, a 193-home community developed by Beazer Homes. Additional nearby activity includes:
Great Southern Homes (now part of Stanley Martin Homes) is planning an 80-unit townhome community known as Half Moon Bay.
Beverly Homes owns an approximately 14-acre parcel directly across Highway 57 from Belle Creek but has not yet announced development plans.
Lennar is developing Summers Cove, a community of more than 200 single-family homes located approximately one mile farther along Highway 57 from Belle Creek.
Pulte Homes is currently completing the third and final phase of Forestwood, a community of more than 200 single-family homes.
With its location near major transportation routes, established neighborhoods, and a growing concentration of new home communities, Belle Creek represents another significant addition to the rapidly expanding Longs/Little River residential market.
