News Title:New townhouse development planned at Boundary Street and Highway 15 in Myrtle Beach
A new townhouse development is being planned at the corner of Boundary Street and Highway 15 in Myrtle Beach, adding another small-scale residential project to an area that continues to see new investment and redevelopment.
The proposed development will include 20 townhomes, consisting of six two-bedroom units and 14 three-bedroom units, along with associated parking, landscaping and a dumpster enclosure. The project will occupy two parcels at the Boundary Street/Highway 15 intersection.
At this stage, additional details about the townhomes along Boundary Street have not been established. It is not yet clear whether the units will be offered for sale or rent, and information regarding the size of the individual units, floor plans, pricing and other features has not yet been released. Those details should become clearer as the project moves through the approval and development process.
The City of Myrtle Beach Planning Commission is scheduled to conduct a final review of the townhouse development along Boundary Street on September 3, 2026.
A convenient location in the heart of Myrtle Beach
The location places the project within an established part of Myrtle Beach with convenient access to many of the destinations that make the city attractive to both full-time residents and second-home buyers.
Boundary Street provides a connection between the areas surrounding downtown Myrtle Beach and the neighborhoods farther south, while Highway 15 provides another north-south route through the city. From this location, residents are within a short drive of the Atlantic Ocean and Myrtle Beach's beaches, as well as the restaurants, entertainment, shopping and attractions concentrated along the city's central corridor.
The project is also close to Myrtle Beach's Arts & Innovation District, an area that has become an important part of the city's ongoing downtown revitalization efforts. The district includes a growing collection of creative, cultural, entertainment and entrepreneurial uses, adding another dimension to the location beyond its proximity to the beach.
Another significant advantage is its proximity to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR). The airport is only a few miles away, making the area particularly convenient for residents who travel frequently, as well as for second-home and vacation-oriented buyers who want easy access to the Grand Strand.
More residential activity taking place nearby
The proposed townhomes are part of a broader pattern of new residential development occurring throughout this portion of Myrtle Beach. While many of the projects are relatively small, collectively they illustrate the continued demand for new housing in and around the city's established core.
Among the projects currently planned or under development in the surrounding area are:
Coastal Breeze Cottages will offer approximately 2,029 heated square feet, with five bedrooms and 4½ baths, along with parking beneath the elevated homes and private outdoor living space. Current asking prices range from approximately $750,000 to $765,000. The homes are being marketed for both primary/resort living and potential vacation-rental use.
Maple Village is planned to bring 12 new residential units in six duplex buildings on approximately 1.06 acres along Highway 15 in Myrtle Beach.
Cedar Street Townhomes, located at the intersection of 3rd Avenue North and Cedar Street in downtown Myrtle Beach, is planned to include four five-unit townhome buildings, providing a total of 20 new townhomes.
The Villages at Wither Heights is a small new home community planned along 12th Avenue South, just west of Kings Highway. The community is expected to include 17 homesites.
Beachside Village Commons involves approximately 8.19 acres near Myrtle Beach International Airport and is planned for 43 manufactured homes, adding another residential component to the area near the airport.
Pine Island Lux represents a substantially larger multifamily project planned at the intersection of Robert M. Grissom Parkway and Pine Island Road. The development is proposed to include six multifamily buildings with 384 residential units, along with three ponds, a playground, two pickleball courts, two gazebos, a basketball/open-space area and two dog parks.
Taken together, these projects point to an area of Myrtle Beach that is continuing to evolve, with new townhomes, cottages, duplexes, single-family homes and multifamily housing being introduced alongside the established neighborhoods and commercial activity already found here. The proposed 20-unit townhouse development at Boundary Street and Highway 15 would add another piece to that ongoing transformation, offering new housing in a location that combines access to the beach, downtown Myrtle Beach, the Arts & Innovation District and Myrtle Beach International Airport.
