Located just off Carolina Forest Boulevard between the established communities of Waterbridge and Summerlyn, Indigo Bay offers a convenient location with easy access to Highway 31 and Highway 501 and is just minutes from the beaches of Myrtle Beach. The gated community is centered around a scenic 50-plus-acre lake, with many homesites offering views of the water and surrounding natural setting.
Indigo Bay offers a collection of resort-style amenities designed to complement its tranquil setting. Residents have access to a community pool and clubhouse, fitness center, pickleball courts, dog park and a kayak and paddleboard launch, creating a variety of opportunities for outdoor recreation and social activities within the community.
The location also puts residents within walking distance of Ten Oaks Elementary School, the Horry County elementary school that opened for the 2025-2026 school year. The school's proximity adds another convenience for families living in the growing Carolina Forest area.
Indigo Bay has been developing for nearly a decade, with the first single-family homes beginning to sell in 2017. Horry County has approved a total of 376 single-family homes for the master-planned community, and more than 250 homes had been constructed as of October 2026. Several builders have participated in the development over the years, helping establish Indigo Bay as one of the longer-running new home communities in Carolina Forest.
Ryan Homes was the most recent builder to complete a section within Indigo Bay, finishing its 74-home section at the end of 2025. The community has continued to attract buyers across a broad range of price points. Through October 2026, completed single-family homes in Indigo Bay by Ryan Homes and others had sold from approximately $300,000 to more than $800,000, with an average selling price of approximately $550,000.
Now, Pulte Homes is adding a new chapter to the community with its 63-home section. The builder is offering four new home designs, providing buyers with a selection of floor plans within the gated Indigo Bay setting. With the first Pulte homes already sold and Quick Move-In opportunities available, the new section is quickly taking shape.
