News Title: A New Custom Home Opportunity Begins in Longs with Recent Land Acquisition by Infinity Custom Built Homes
Relatively small local area builder, Infinity Custom Built Homes, recently purchased a small group of 6 lots in Longs, SC. These six lots are conveniently located just off of Liberty Church Road, between Highway 9 Bypass and Highway 9 Business in Longs, SC.

Each of the 6 lots are just over a half an acre.

Expectations are the Infinity Custom Built Homes will be building custom homes on each of these parcels.

Infinity Custom Built Homes is a boutique, locally focused builder that operates on a limited-volume basis, allowing for a more personalized and detail-oriented approach to custom home construction.

Infinity Custom Built Homes has completed select custom home work across several communities in the region, including Fox Bay in Loris, SC; Venice Lakes in Loris, SC; Waterfall Plantation in Little River, SC; and Seawalk Partners in Sunset Beach, NC, reflecting a range of coastal and inland residential projects throughout the Grand Strand area.

Custom home builders are not rare in the Myrtle Beach market; in fact, the region includes a broad mix of production, semi-custom, and fully custom builders operating across a wide range of price points. What truly differentiates one builder from another is not simply the ability to construct a custom home, but the scale, structure, and overall approach brought to each project. Larger national builders such as D.R. Horton and Lennar typically operate at higher volumes and within more standardized systems, where customization is layered onto established floor plans and project management is distributed across multiple teams. In contrast, smaller boutique builders generally take on fewer projects at a time, enabling more direct involvement from the builder, closer attention to detail, and a more flexible, hands-on construction process. In a market where the term “custom” is widely used, meaningful differentiation comes down to the level of personalization, craftsmanship, and direct oversight rather than the label itself.

Choosing a smaller, locally focused builder can offer several distinct advantages. These builders often provide a more personalized experience, with direct access to the owner or principal builder throughout the design and construction process. With fewer concurrent projects, they are better positioned to focus on quality craftsmanship, detailed execution, and responsiveness to homeowner input. This structure also allows for greater flexibility in accommodating design modifications, custom features, and site-specific conditions that larger production builders may be less inclined to adjust. In addition, local builders typically maintain strong relationships with area subcontractors and suppliers and bring a deeper understanding of regional building codes, permitting processes, and market conditions. For homeowners seeking a highly customized home and a more hands-on building experience, a reputable small builder can offer a level of involvement and attention that is difficult to replicate in higher-volume construction environments.

As of June 2026, Infinity Custom Built Homes has not yet announced plans for these custom homes off of Liberty Church Road.
