News Title:Cedar Street Townhomes proposal advances with 20-Unit Downtown Myrtle Beach review at the Community Appearance Board Meeting
During the June 18, 2026 City of Myrtle Beach Community Appearance Board Meeting, Community, a conceptual/final review is being requested for four 5-unit townhomes buildings in downtown Myrtle Beach.
This new townhome community, Cedar Street Townhomes, is conveniently located at the intersection of 3rd Avenue North and Cedar Street.
The location of the Cedar Street Townhomes is also near Balsam Street Park, which places residents at the doorstep of Myrtle Beach's next chapter—an area characterized by expanding public spaces, enhanced connectivity, growing employment opportunities, and a renewed focus on downtown living.
The ongoing transformation of Myrtle Beach's Arts & Innovation District is reshaping a significant portion of downtown into a more vibrant, connected, and economically diverse destination. Through a combination of public infrastructure improvements, streetscape enhancements, expanded green spaces, public art installations, and strategic redevelopment initiatives, the district is attracting new businesses, entrepreneurs, housing opportunities, and community gathering spaces. What was once an underutilized area is evolving into a dynamic urban district designed to foster creativity, innovation, and walkability while strengthening connections between neighborhoods, employment centers, entertainment venues, and the oceanfront. For residents and property owners nearby, the district's continued investment represents a long-term enhancement to both quality of life and the appeal of downtown Myrtle Beach.
As of June 2026, timing for development of the Cedar Street Townhomes has not yet been announced.
