The new home community of Ponds Haven is located near the intersection of Highway 9 Business and Highway 701, but more specifically near the intersection of Highway 9 Business and Holmes Branch.
Horry County has approved the development of 28 single family units in the new home community of Ponds Haven.
TLC Hwy 9 Loris LLC purchased this 14.13 acre property back in June of 2023.
Stormwater permits were obtained for Ponds Haven in August of 2025, allowing the developer to manage how the stormwater (rain and runoff) would be collected, treated and discharged from the site – especially after construction. The stormwater permit is a strong indicator that a new home community is moving forward in its development process.
As of November 2025, timing for the new home community of Ponds Haven has not yet been announced.

Pleasant Meadow
Beverly Homes is building a small new home community, named Pleasant Meadow, of single family homes right next door to Ponds Haven. Beverly Homes purchased approximately 5 acres of land along Highway 9 Business West (Main Street) from Ten Mile LLC back in April of 2025. Ten Mile LLC still owns the remainder of land behind Pleasant Meadow – an approximate 35 acre parcel and has not yet announced their plans for this property. The new home community of Pleasant Meadow in Loris by Beverly Homes will have 9 single family homes – each over a half of an acre. Beverly Homes began presales in Pleasant Meadow in September of 2025.

Silver Oaks Cottages
Silver Oaks Cottages is a new home community coming soon to Loris, SC. This new home community is located right off of Main Street (Business 9) just slightly northwest of downtown Loris. Silver Oaks Cottages will be developed on a 16.3 acre piece of property. The Silver Oaks Cottages property was purchased in November of 2023 and has been annexed into the City of Loris. The City of Loris Planning Commission is currently reviewing plans for the new home community of Silver Oaks Cottages. Preliminary plans are for there to be 31 single family units in the new home community of Silver Oaks Cottages.

Meadow Walk
Meadow Walk is a new home community that is being developed in Loris, SC by D. R. Horton. This exclusive new construction community is made up of just 92 homesites, nestled off Highway 45 and Strickland Drive. The initial phase will consist of approximately 50 single family homes. A second phase will have approximately 42 single family homes. The homes in Meadow Walk will showcase six of D. R. Horton’s most popular floorplans. Plans range from 1,281-2,340 sq feet. D. R. Horton is pricing the Express Series homes in Meadows Walk at $273,490. D. R. Horton started presales in Meadow Walk in December of 2024.
Liberty Estates
Liberty Estates is a new home community in Loris, South Carolina that will have 22 homesites. Great Southern Homes, a builder that is involved with numerous communities in the Myrtle Beach area, is the developer of this Loris new home community. Liberty Estates is located just off of SC-45 close to Parade Park and not too far from downtown Loris. Pricing in this Loris new home community is extremely competitive relative to other Myrtle Beach area communities.
