The new home community of Valley Ridge is located just off of Highway 9 in Longs and will reside on over 82 acres of land. Simple access to Highway 9 makes this an easy commute to all of the Grand Strand activities and beaches.
Horry County has provided approval for the development of 289 single family units in the new home community of Valley Ridge in Longs, SC.
Recent activity in Valley Ridge, as of March 2026, is the platting of over 100 of the single-family homes. This is a strong signal that development is likely coming soon.
Lennar, one of the most active builders in all of Horry County, will be the builder in Valley Ridge.
As of March 2026, Lennar has not yet announced timing for development of the single-family homes in Valley Ridge.
Valley Ridge’s upcoming single-family homes are ideally positioned alongside several notable neighboring properties and a scenic golf course, adding to the community’s charm and desirability.
Crown Park Golf Club
The new home community of Valley Ridge will be on the opposite side of Hemingway Road from the Crown Park Golf Club. The Crown Park Golf Club initially opened as a 27-hole golf facility designed by Robbie Byers. Since that time, the course has been scaled down from 27 holes to 18 holes. The Crown Park Golf Club winds through a Carolina Pine forest and is well known for allowing for a peaceful round with none of the neighborhood distractions. There are five sets of tees at The Crown Park Golf Club measuring at 6,502 yards from the Blue Tees. The Crown Park Golf Club continues to successfully and proudly operate as one of the Grand Strand's hidden gems! Many years ago the landowner explored the potential for single-family homes on the property but ultimately decided not to move forward with development. At the time, Horry County approved the development of approximately 400 single family units and 230 multi-family units under the tentative community name of Calabay Park. As of early 2026, the landowner has decided against building new homes and The Crown Park Golf Club remains open and continues to operate successfully.
The Willows
The new home community of Valley Ridge will be a next door neighbor to The Willows. Chesapeake Homes is the builder of The Willows. The Willows started to release homes in early 2024. There will be approximately 199 single-family homes in The Willows. The initial phase that is now underway will consist of almost 100 single family homes on approximately 41 acres of land just off of Hemingway Road in Longs. Future phases on the remaining 43 acres will also consist of about 100 single family homes. As of March 2026, over 40 single family homes have been sold in The Willows - selling from the $330’s to the $540’s with an average selling price in the $430’s. As of March 2026, Chesapeake Homes is selling the single-family homes in The Willows from $314,900.
The Tides of Little Creek
The Tides of Little Creek is located on the opposite side of Highway 9 from Valley Ridge. Beverly Homes bought this 43 acre piece of land, now known as The Tides of Little Creek back in January 2023 and is the builder in this new home community in Longs. Beverly Homes is projecting to have 94 homesites, some of which will be oversized with privacy and water views. The Tides of Little Creek is expected to have ponds with fountains and green spaces. As of March 2026, nearly 20 single-family homes have sold in The Tides of Little Creek. The single-family homes in The Tides of Little Creek have sold from the upper 200's to the upper $300's with an average selling price at around $315,000. As of March 2026, Beverly Homes is pricing the single-family homes in The Tides of Little Creek starting in the upper $200's.
