Pitch Pines is a new home community in Georgetown that is currently in the early planning stages. The new home community of Pitch Pines is located just off of Kent Road, southwest of downtown Georgetown. Pitch Pines is located on the west side of Kent Road about 3,200 feet north of the intersection with SC Highway 521 in rural Georgetown.

Preliminary plans for Pitch Pines are to build approximately 40 single family homes on the approximate 25.15 acre of land. The new home community of Pitch Pines will have large single-family home lot sizes as the property is currently zoned R-1/2 AC.
The Georgetown County Zoning District Acronym of R-1/2 AC is the ½ acre residential district where the intent of this district to provide areas which are suitable for moderate to low density development. This district is particularly suitable for areas adjacent to or near urban areas, where an adequate public water supply or public sewage service is available. The principal use of land within this district is low density, single family residential. The minimum lot area is 20,000 square feet, with minimum set back requirements of 90 feet for front, 40 feet for side and 15 feet for rear.
