Evington Place is a new home community of 146 single-family lots located along Highway 905 in Longs, SC roughly 8 miles north of Myrtle Beach.
Adjacent to SC Highway 905, Evington Place offers convenient access to destinations throughout Horry County, making everyday commuting and weekend travel simple and efficient. South Carolina Highway 905 (SC-905) is a relatively short but highly significant corridor in northern Horry County, especially from a growth, transportation, and real estate perspective. SC-905 links U.S. Highway 701 near Conway with SC Highway 22 (Veterans Highway), creating an important east–west connection. This makes it a strategic alternative to more congested routes like Highway 501 when traveling between Conway, Longs, Loris, and the northern Grand Strand.
The approximate 86.4 acre parcel where the new home community of Evington Place is being developed sits on the South Carolina side where South Carolina meets North Carolina.
Preliminary plans are indicating that development of the new home community of Evington Place in Longs will be completed in two phases. The first phase of development in Evington Place is tentatively showing 73 single family homes on the north east side of the community along the SC/NC border. The remaining 73 single family homes in Evington Place are being planned for the southwest portion of this community.
D. R. Horton is the builder of the new home community of Evington Place in Longs.
D. R. Horton is offering their Express Series homes in Evington Place. The D.R. Horton Express Series' primary intent is to offer an entry-level home option, primarily targeting first-time homebuyers who are looking for a place to own at a more affordable price point. The series provides a focused approach to provide accessible homes with a range of customizable finishes, allowing buyers to personalize their living space within this entry-level segment.

Buck Creek Cove
Great Southern Homes will be the builder in Buck Creek Cove. Buck Creek Cove is conveniently located directly off of Highway 9 (near its intersection with SC Highway 905) across from the Long Bay Golf Club. Great Southern Homes purchased this approximate 17.46 acre parcel of land in December of 2024. Horry County has provided approval for the development of 74 multi-family homes in the new home community of Buck Creek Cove. Great Southern Homes has not yet announced timing or pricing for the new home community of Buck Creek Cove in Longs, SC.
Horry County has approved the development of 974 single family units and 318 multi-family units in this Longs new home community of Palmetto Ranch. This new home community of Palmetto Ranch is located just south of the North Carolina border and right off of Highway 905. This Longs new home community is on the other side of Route 9 across from the Long Bay Golf Club. Simple access to Route 9 makes this an easy commute to all of the Grand Strand activities and beaches. This new home community in Longs of Palmetto Ranch will reside on almost 600 acres of land.
Townhomes at Long Bay
Oak Hollow is a new home community in Longs of SC Highway 905 that will have a total of 158 single family homesites. Great Southern Homes is the builder in Oak Hollow. The single-family homes in Oak Hollow initially started to close in 2022. Thus far the homes in Oak Hollow have sold from the upper $260’s to the low $400’s with an average selling price at around $330,000. As of early 2026, Great Southern Homes has just recently opened up the third and final phase. Great Southern Homes is pricing the single family homes in Oak Hollow from $295,990.
The Townhomes at Long Bay
The Townhomes at Long Bay are conveniently located around the Long Bay Golf Club off of Highway 9 in Longs, SC near the SC Highway 905 intersection. There are planned to be a total of 56 multi-family units in the Townhomes at Long Bay. There was an initial set of 31 Townhomes at Long Bay that were constructed and sold prior to 2025. Another builder, Hunter Quinn, is building the remaining 25 of the Townhomes at Long Bay. The initial Townhomes at Long Bay by Hunter Quinn closed in May of 2025.
