News Title: On October 7, 2025, the North Myrtle Beach Planning Commission will now review a preliminary plat for Hudson Creek at Palmetto Harbor
Hudson Creek at Palmetto Harbor is a new home community in the planning stages that is coming soon to North Myrtle Beach.

The new home community of Hudson Creek at Palmetto Harbor in North Myrtle Beach is conveniently located close to the Intracoastal Waterway and adjacent to the Grand Strand Airport.  The Grand Strand Airport is primarily used for general aviation, i.e. private planes, charters, and corporate flights rather than commercial flights.

The Beachwood Golf Course is adjacent to Hudson Creek at Palmetto Harbor on the south side.  The Beachwood Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course that opened in 1968.

There is a proposal to take seven existing lots on a combined 8.58 acres and create a new subdivision, named Hudson Creek at Palmetto Harbor, that would consist of 33 lots and 1.72 acres of open space.

The Planning Commission recommended the annexation and zoning of this parcel to R-1B - single-family residential, low-medium density back in May of 2024.  The R-1B zoning would require minimum lot sizes of 6,000 square feet with a minimum lot width of 50 feet.

The North Myrtle Beach City Council then subsequently approved the annexation and zoning petition in June of 2024.

On October 7, 2025, the North Myrtle Beach Planning Commission will now review a preliminary plat for Hudson Creek at Palmetto Harbor at which time they may approve, approve modifications and/or conditions, or disapprove the plat as submitted.

This is the second new home community in the area being developed by Chris Manning.

The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor is the other a new home community by Chris Manning in the area.  The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor is conveniently located along the Intracoastal Waterway and is nestled between Palmetto Harbor and Kingswood on the Waterway.  Del Webb North Myrtle Beach (Pulte) is the community adjacent to The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor on the south side.  The new home community of The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor will be developed on an approximate 13.2 acre parcel.  Preliminary plans from Chris Manning, the builder also involved with the neighboring Palmetto Harbor, is showing 41 residential lots.  Four of the lots in The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor will be adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway.  The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor is zoned Single-Family Residential Low-Medium (R-1A) - requiring a minimum single-family dwelling lot area of 7,500 square feet.

Chris Manning is also the builder in the new home community of Glasgow Village in Murrells Inlet. Chris Manning is a graduate of Methodist University in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in business, and a concentration in marketing. He worked a short time for companies such as Ready Mixed Concrete and Highland Lumber before stepping out into his own business endeavors of residential development in 2000. Since that time, he has built in North Carolina and South Carolina and is a standing member of the Home Builders Association of North Carolina. Over the past 20+ years, Chris has also purchased and developed several residential subdivisions, multi-family units, and commercial buildings.
