Cottonwood Place is located in Tabor City, the southernmost town in Columbus County, NC, located just North of the NC/SC line about 39 miles north of Myrtle Beach South Carolina. D. R. Horton is the builder in Cottonwood Place. Current plans from D. R. Horton are to build approximately 230 single-family homes in Cottonwood Place. The new home community of Cottonwood Place was established in 2023 and the single-family homes in Cottonwood Place first began to close in May of 2024. Sutton Farm is conveniently located just off of the Highway 9 near the Diamondback Golf Club at Woodland Valley. The initial phase of homes in Sutton Farm consisted of about 100 single family homes. Night Owl Farms is a new home community in Upper Conway that started to presell at the end of June 2024. Beverly Homes is the builder in Night Owl Farms. The new home community of Night Owl Farms is conveniently located near the Highway 501 and Highway 22 interchange. Horry County has approved the development of 112 single family homes in the new home community of Night Owl Farms. The new home community of Night Owl Farms will reside on a 46 acre piece of land. In Night Owl Farms, Beverly Homes is offering home customization, privacy and perimeter lots, and low monthly HOA fees. Birchwood is a new home community in Longs that started presales in July of 2025. The new home community of Birchwood is located just off of West Bear Grass Road and Freemont close to Highway 905.
